As you may know, the president addressed the American people after meeting with the Senate democrat caucus yesterday. By the looks on the face of Senator Baucus (glazed over) and Senator Shumer (disinterested) and the hostile tone of the president’s summary, it appears they are no closer to a deal than they were.
